◎What is Furry Clay?

What do you think of when you hear "Furry Clay"? I think it's a lot of people who are looking at this page by searching.

"Furry clay" is not a material, but an original technique that incorporates the method of pasting fur on clay and wool felt.

As far as I know, there seems to be no other artist who is doing the same way, so I named it myself.

The reason why I came up with this way of making is because I wanted to make a child who can touch as much as he wants, like a cute pet who is fond of him.

Wool felt is a very suitable material for making things realistically, and I feel that many realistic works that look as if they are alive are made from wool felt.

However, realistic works made by flocking with wool felt are vulnerable to friction and are very easily damaged, so basically you can only decorate them gently.

I used to make real animal accessories with wool felt, but I had no choice but to ask them not to touch the accessories as much as possible so as not to damage the fur of the work.

However, after all, you want to touch fluffy and cute things.

After much trial and error, I came up with the technique called "Furry Clay" to create accessories that can be easily touched without impairing the realism of wool felt.

Please pet and caress as much as you want!

YUKARIN

Influenced by her mother, who is a doll artist, she has had many opportunities to come into contact with art, such as solo exhibitions, since she was a child.

I grew up as a child who loves making things.

I studied design using a Mac when I was in college, and gained design experience as a CG designer.

Retired after getting married, encountered wool felt, and acquired skills through self-study.

Invented a technique called "Furry Clay" that uses fur and clay to create fine details like wool felt.

While struggling every day to raise her only daughter, I am enjoying creating while pursuing my own realistic cuteness.
